5/13/10 Challenge

I would like to challenge you today to make a small inexpensive gift for someone. Sometimes just a little something really makes someone's day. So, brighten someone's day today and make them a fun little gift. Here are some ideas to get you started.

The first set is a bookmark I made to go with the teacher Thank You cards you saw the other day. These are made with 4" paper clips.

The second project is a metal piece of roof flashing. I saw this idea on a message board and had to try it myself. This one is for my daughter. I used my Bind-It-All corner rounder to round the metal edges & my Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes for the ribbon hanger. The little flower magnets I actually found on clearance at a big box store for .79 for 8 of them. Of course, I had to add the white dots and the skittles/Dew Drops to the centers. I have seen some really cute ones of these made with the Create-a Critter Cricut cart, too. I want to make a Robotz one for my son.

The turtle and monkey bookmarks were for my son's Kindergarten class. He helped me punch out all of the scallops it only took us 1-2 hours to make 20 of them. I love it when my kids want to help (most of the time)!

The little M&M baggies and toppers I gave to several people - the gals at the Post Office who are always so sweet, the neighbor girl who takes care of our dog while we are gone, and try to hide them from my kids! :)
