Scared of Glimmer Mist?

Are you scared of Glimmer Mist....Don't be! I was once you, and reluctantly spritzed layouts and hesitantly bought colors of mist that I thought I might use a squirt of. I even misted flowers occasionally. I have since begun using more and more Glimmer Mist and my absolute favorite color is the Haunted Shadow! It's a great shade of almost maroon, almost purple with a gold sparkle. I use it to mist on layouts randomly, but I also like the idea of controlling the area that is misted. My suggestion is this, use masks/covering over areas you don't want misted, and that includes your scrappy space.

Here I used it for a random spritz, or two, AFTER I had the whole thing together... I like the un-misted space below the flowers that can be seen, I think it gives it some depth. If you do this though, be sure you cover the photos up or you will end up with a fine mist on them.

For this LO, I was playing with my new butterfly embossing folder/cutting die set, and decided to use the negative to bring in the design on the corner of the page and allow for a grouping of butterflies without them all being 3D. I made sure to use repositionable adhesive on the back of the negative & to mask off the remailing part of the LO, with scraps and newspaper. I added a half pearl to the misted butterfly for the head, just as I did on the die cut/embossed butterflies.

Beautiful! I'm afraid my misting always turns out globby. Having better luck making my own with TH reinkers, Pefect Pearls, and Mini Misters. xxD
