Making Metallic Butterflies

Creative Team member, Carina, shares her technique for creating metallic butterflies for your project!

Supplies:
Metallic Tape
Alcohol Inks
Embossing Folder
Cardstock
Martha Stewart 3-1 Classic  Butterfly Punch and Eyelet Lace Punch

Steps 1 thru 4: Cover the cardstock with the tape and trim it to fit your embossing folder.  Emboss your tape covered cardstock.

Step 5 and 6:  Apply your alcohol ink to the dabber and fill in with the second color.

Step 7:  Make a random pattern on the embossed metallic cardstock.

Step 8:  Let alcohol ink dry.  Punch the edge on one side of the metallic cardstock using the Eyelet Lace Punch.

Step 9:  Using the 3-1 Butterfly Punch,  place it so that the larger butterfly has a pattern on the wings.

Step 10:  Do the same with the smaller butterflies.

Step 11:  Here are the lovely butterflies!  You can also use other shaped punches.

Carina hopes that you are inspired to create your own butterflies!  Visit the CropStop Store for you project supplies!

I want to find out where you bought the metallic tape? I've looked in Hobby Lobby & JoAnns. Is it from a hardware store?
