Cut out the rectangle from Core'dinations cardstock and emboss it with the folder. Cut the other die cuts from metallic cardstock.
Use the sanding block to sand over the embossing to make it stand out.
For the lid use a piece of cardstock 10 1/4" by 8 1/4" and score at 1" and 2" on all sides as in the photo. Burnish the folds with your Scor-Tool.
Cut out the squares as in the photo and snip to form the flaps that will create the corners.
For ease of folding snip the flaps at an angle as in the photo, it makes it much easier to get a crisp corner when adhering.
Turn over and add tape to the flaps.
On the inside edges add tape to the edge sides.
Attach the sides to form the lid and use your Scor-Tool on the inside edges to create crisp sides.
For the base use a piece of cardstock 12" by 10" and score at 3" on all 4 sides and cut the flaps as the photo shows.
Snip the flaps as you did for the lid corners and add tape.
Form the base and again use the tool for crisp folds.
Decorate the box as you wish. I used the border punch to make a decorative edge around the box and added ribbon.
Finally add the die cuts to the lid.
I hope you liked this little box tutorial and can find time to make a special gift box for someone this upcoming Holiday season :)
